$16.00

6.3% ABV - 45 IBU - Grain to glass time: 9 days - Hazy IPA

This beer is all about the hops. Huge amounts of Citra, Mosaic, and El Dorado hops bring heady amounts tropical and citrus aromatics on top of a hazy body comprised of flaked oats, Carafoam, and 2-row malts. This beer is incredible immediately when carbonated. Best enjoyed fresh.

Our MKRKITs are curated sets of ingredients built to be both a complete beer and exemplary of the style. We encourage all new brewers to start with one of our MKRKITs to see how the brewing process is done, then explore the possibilities by making changes!

OVERVIEW

GET TO KNOW YOUR BEER

The NEIPA, or New England IPA, style is fairly new to the American craft beer scene. This is a hazy, hop forward style with a light body and ample use of fruity, tropical hops like Citra, Mosaic, and Galaxy. The original NEIPAs got their haze from the sheer volume of hops used during dry hop, but most brewers today use hazy malts like wheat, flaked oats, and flaked barley, to create the hazy protein structure which does a good job of capturing hop oils and holding them in suspension.

WHAT IS A MKRKIT

Select from one of our 15 delicious MKRKITs (and growing) for a pre-made recipe that creates a craft brewery quality beer every time or use your own ingredients! The DIY section of our app allows you to buy individual ingredients to create your very own recipe. Also feel free to customize our MKRKITs, try adding some chocolate to your Chubby Stout or whatever you can imagine! That's the beauty of BEERMKR, anything is possible.

We source all our grains from the same growers and suppliers as major craft breweries and home brewers alike. We pack the grains into pre-portion bags so you can just dump them in. We use a combination of raw hops and SteamHops, which are hops that have been pre-"boiled" to match the flavor profile of 15/30/60 min boils without actually boiling. Choose from our selection of yeast packets, or source and add your own. You can control the fermentation schedule to match your strain.
