Clarifier is a purified colloidal solution of silicic acid, (SiO2), in water that has been specifically formulated for the rapid sedimentation of yeast and other haze-forming particles in beer. It is vegan-friendly.
When your beer finishes fermentation, much of the live yeast will stay in suspension in the beer. Over time, the yeast will naturally fall out of suspension in a process known as flocculation. Some yeast strains flocculate quickly, others flocculate slowly. Clarifier manually removes the remaining yeast from suspension, resulting in incredibly clear beer. It allows you to produce crystal clear beers in as little as 24 hours, eliminating the need for the beer sit for weeks at cold temperatures to achieve the same clarity.
Use Clarifier when the beer is cold, has finished fermentation, and is otherwise ready to be transferred out of the BEERMKR. Add directly to the BrewTub and give the BeerBag a squeeze to disperse the Clarifier. We recommend adding 2ml to 4ml, then waiting 24 hours while periodically running the vibratory motor to clear out the new sediment. If after 24 hours the desired clarity has not been achieved, add another 2ml to 4ml and wait another 24 hours while periodically running the vibratory motor.
